Our process

How clean water
reaches a community.

A water point begins long before the first tap is turned. Follow the work, from the groundwater survey to the moment a community can collect water.

Stages of building a water point

  1. Stage 01

    Find the water

A groundwater survey helps identify a suitable place to drill and estimate how deep the borehole may need to go.

    Before we drill

Good work starts with understanding the site.

  2. Stage 02

    Bring the team to site

The drilling equipment arrives at the selected location, ready for work to begin.

  3. Stage 03

    Begin drilling

The team drills into the ground to reach the water below.

  4. Stage 04

    Complete the borehole

The drilled hole is ready for the next stage of the water system.

  5. Stage 05

    Flush the borehole

Dirty water is drawn out as the team clears the newly drilled borehole.

  6. Stage 06

    Lay the foundations

The foundations are built for the structure that will support the water tanks.

  7. Stage 07

    Install the tanks

The water tanks are lifted into place on the supporting structure.

  8. Stage 08

    Build the tap point

The faucet walls are built where people will come to collect water.

  9. Stage 09

    Turn on the water

The system is complete, and the community begins collecting water from the new water point.
